Program Towards Elimination of Tuberculosis in India

Tuberculosis kills more than 1,200 people in India every single day! That’s almost 500,000 deaths every year! What's even more alarming is that India has an estimated 500,000 missed TB patients who need to be screened, diagnosed and treated in a timely manner.Within just one year, District Koppal managed to pull off a dramatic turnaround to become one of Karnataka’s top performing districts in the fight against TB. This short film touches on some of their key strategies in the hope that it can offer inputs to other regions engaged in similar efforts.

SKILLING IN THE AUTOMOTIVE SECTOR

To enhance the credibility of Sector Skill Council certificates, the final assessment of candidates had to be done by qualified assessors and in an unbiased manner. The Automative Sector Skill Council tied up with Tata Consultancy Services to design strong human-intervention free assessment systems, carefully mapping practical tasks with capabilities expected by the industry. Videographed practical tests were shared online with assessors across India, eliminating any collusion with candidates or training centres
